Overview & Rationale
Digital governance challenges—ranging from cross-border data flows and cybersecurity incident response to artificial intelligence ethics and platform accountability—rarely conform to traditional, top-down nation-state regulation. Effective digital policy requires multi-stakeholder governance models where governments, the private sector, civil society, technical experts, and academia co-create actionable policy consensus.
This Capstone serves as the practical synthesis of the Digital Governance Fellowship. Fellows are placed in a simulated regional environment (the fictional “Auria Regional Economic Community – AREC”) undergoing a critical digital transformation crisis. Fellows will be assigned specific stakeholder roles and tasked with negotiating a Regional Multi-Stakeholder Declaration & Policy Framework.
